Mini-Biography:
Born in New Jersey, Thomas Mccarthy is an actor, writer and director.
As an actor, he made his screen debut in “Crossing The Bridge.” He had roles in TV series The Wire, Boston Public, and Law & Order.
He appeared films, such as “Flags Of Our Fathers,” “Syriana,” “Good Night And Good Luck,” “Year Of The Dog,” “Meet The Parents,” “All The King’s Men, Duplicity,” “2012” and “The Lovely Bones.”
He was known primarily as a working actor until he burst onto the filmmaking scene with his critically acclaimed first feature, “The Station Agent,” released in 2003. He followed that with “The Visitor” in 2007. In 2009, Thomas shared story credit with Pete Docter and Bob Peterson on the animated feature “UP.”
