Interview: voice actor Larry Kenney of ThunderCats (2011 Video)

He was the voice of Lion-O in the 1980’s “ThunderCats.” Now, voice actor Larry Kenney has returned to the latest version as Claudius in the new Cartoon Network hit series.

Mini-Biography:
Born in Pekin, Illinois, Larry Kenney is a voice actor and radio personality.

He started his career in radio at age 15 as a disc jockey for station WIRL. He went on to work at a variety of stations, including Cleveland, Chicago and New York.

Larry was a regular member of “Imus in the Morning” (1973–2007). Additionally, he was the host of “Bowling for Dollars” on WOR-TV.

To kids, his voice is best known as Lion-O on the 1980s cartoon series, “ThunderCats.” Besides Lion-O, Larry was the voice of “Karate Kat” (a segment as part of the “The Comic Strip” ) and Bluegrass in “SilverHawks.”
