SIDEWALKS host Lori Rosales talks to returning guest Trisha Yearwood, who is joined by Jonathan Reckford, the CEO of Habitat for Humanity International. The two talk about Habitat for Humanity, President Jimmy Carter and his wife participating in the building process, and Reckford’s new book, “Our Better Angels: Seven Simple Virtues That Will Change Your Life and the World.” Also, Yearwood talks about her long-running cooking series (“Trisha’s Southern Kitchen”) and her latest album, “Every Girl.”

Born in Monticello, Georgia, Trisha Yearwood has had an amazing musical career. She has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide and had several hit singles, including “She’s in Love with a Boy,” “How Do I Live”,” “Believe Me Baby (I Lied),” “XXX’s and OOO’s (An American Girl),” “I’m Still Alive,” and “Perfect Love.” Outside of country music, Yearwood is a culinary star with cookbooks (“Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen,” “Home Cooking with Trisha Yearwood,” “Trisha’s Table: My Feel-Good Favorites for a Balanced Life”) and a hit cooking show, “Trisha’s Southern Kitchen.”

Grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Jonathan Reckford is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Habitat for Humanity International. Previously, he was an executive pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina, Minnesota, served as president of stores for the Musicland division of Best Buy, senior vice president of corporate planning and communications for Circuit City, and director of strategic planning at The Walt Disney Company. Reckford authored the book, “Creating a Habitat for Humanity: No Hands But Yours.”
