Born in London, Thandie Newton is a British actress and has appeared in many high-profiled British and American films, including “Mission: Impossible II,” “Crash,” W.,” “Run Fatboy Run,” “The Pursuit of Happyness,” “2012,” “Norbit,” and “For Colored Girls.”
In 1991, she made her film debut with “Flirting,” which was followed by “Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles,” ”Jefferson in Paris,” and “Beloved.”
On TV, Newton had a recurring role as Makemba “Kem” Likasu, the wife of Dr. John Carter (Noah Wyle) on “ER.”
