SIDEWALKS host Lori Rosales interviews actors Steve Haggard and Joel Meyers, who play Harry Potter and his son Albus in the Broadway stage production of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.”

Mini-Biographies:
Steve Haggard is known for his roles in the theater scene. A graduate of The Theatre School at DePaul University, he is making his Broadway debut as part of the year two company of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” started in 2019 and has been performing the title role since fall 2021. Haggard got his start in the theater scene in Chicago and became an ensemble member at A Red Orchid Theatre in Chicago with credits on “33 To Nothing,” “Sender,” “The Aliens,” and “The Mutilated.” His other stage roles are “Tribes,” “Doubt,” “Old Glory, ” “Wasteland, “The Importance of Being Earnest,” “Doubt,” “Old Glory,” “King Lear,” “As You Like It,” and “Romeo and Juliet.” Haggard has appeared on popular television series, such as “The Chi,” “Chicago PD,” “Chicago Fire,” and “Prison Break.”
Joel Meyers also making his Broadway debut as Albus Potter, Harry Potter’s son, on “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.” Some of his off-Broadway credits are “Bard Overboard, “Stupid F*cking Bird,” “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” “Translations,” “Godspell,” and “The Varsity Show.” Some of his film credits are “Carry the Darkness,” “Call Me Crazy,” “Swell” (short), and “Faust’s Façade” (short). Meyers voiced Danny in Candle House Collective’s telephonic thriller “Claws” and is a co-creator/sometime performer on “Lennox Mutual.” He has been seen on an episode of “Three Busy Debras.”
