“The View’s” Sherri Shepherd talks about her career, her first time meeting Barbara Walters, and the best advice the ABC newswoman gave her.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Sherri Shepherd is a TV host, actress and comedienne. She found major fame being one of the co-hosts on the daytime talker, “The View.” She is also the current host of the game show, “Newlywed Game.”
As an actress, Sherri has regular series roles on “Suddenly Susan,” “The Jamie Foxx Show.,” “Less than Perfect,” and her own headlining comedy series, “Sherri.” Additionally, she had recurring roles on “30 Rock,” “Everybody Loves Raymond” and “Living Single.”
Some of her film roles, include “Precious,” “Guess Who,” “Beauty Shop,” “Cellular,” and “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.”
Sherri authored the book, “Permission Slips: Every Woman’s Guide to Giving Herself a Break.”
