SIDEWALKS host Lori Rosales talks to singer Klaus Meine and guitarist Rudolf Schenker of the legendary rock band, Scorpions.
Scorpions is returning to the Las Vegas Strip in 2025 with an exclusive headlining residency show in celebration of the band’s 60th anniversary. “Scorpions – Coming Home to Las Vegas 60th Anniversary Las Vegas Residency” kicks off on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025 at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Scorpions will be joined by special guest Buckcherry. The new show follows the band’s two previous sold-out residencies at the venue – “Scorpions – Love at First Sting Las Vegas” in 2024, and “Sin City Nights in 2022.” Tickets are on sale now.

Mini-Biography:
Founded in Hannover, West Germany in 1965, Scorpions emerged as a prominent force in the early metal scene of the 1970s, debuting with their album “Lonesome Crow” in 1972. The band achieved significant recognition with influential albums such as “Lovedrive” and “Animal Magnetism.” During the 1980s, Scorpions enjoyed a series of successes on the Billboard charts, highlighted by the albums “Love at First Sting” and “Blackout,” which produced several Top 10 hits, including “Rock You Like a Hurricane” and “No One Like You.” Additionally, they released popular singles like “Send Me an Angel,” “Still Loving You,” and “Wind of Change.” The band was ranked #46 on VH1’s list of the Greatest Artists of Hard Rock, and their song “Rock You Like a Hurricane” was placed at #18 on VH1’s 100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs. Renowned worldwide, this legendary rock group has sold over 110 million albums globally and has received numerous accolades, including World Music Awards, a postage stamp in Brazil, a star on the Hollywood Rock Walk, and Echo awards. Recently, they were bestowed with the Lower Saxon State Award. Rudolf Schenker (founder / guitarist), Klaus Meine (vocals), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Paweƚ Mąciwoda (bassist) and Mikkey Dee (drummer) are the current members of Scorpions.
