Max Irons returns to SIDEWALKS and brings along his co-star Samantha Barks to discuss careers and “Bitter Harvest,” their new romantic-drama film set in Soviet Ukraine in the early 1930s.

SIDEWALKS host Veronica Castro interviews Samantha Barks and Max Irons. They talk about Barks’ appearance on a talent TV show, if Irons got into the business because of his acting family background, and their starring roles in “Bitter Harvest,” where Barks plays Natalka and Irons as Yuri.

Mini-Biographies:
Born in Laxey, Isle of Man, Samantha Barks is a British actress and singer, who released her debut album, “Looking in Your Eyes,” in 2007. She gained fame with her third-placed finish in the BBC talent show, “I’d Do Anything.” In 2012, she played Zoe Myer on the UK’s Disney Channel series, “Groove High.” Barks made her film debut as Éponine in the musical “Les Misérables.” Some of her stage performance include “Cabaret,” “Aladdin,” “Les Misérables,” “Oliver!,” “City of Angels,” “Amelie,” and “The Last Five Years” (co-starring with fellow “Groove High” star Jonathan Bailey).

Born in Camden, London, Max Irons is an actor and model. He co-starred in “Red Riding Hood,” with previous “Sidewalks” guests Amanda Seyfried, and Gary Oldman. Other roles include “Being Julia,” “Dorian Gray,” “The Riot Club,” “Woman in Gold,” as well as TV episodes of “The Runaway,” “The White Queen” and miniseries “Tutankhamun.” Irons is the son of actors Sinéad Cusack and previous guest Jeremy Irons and is the grandson of Cyril Cusack.
