SIDEWALKS host Lori Rosales interviews rapper and “Love & Hip Hop: New York” personality Remy Ma about getting into rap and being the narrator of VH1’s “My True Crime Story.”
Mini-Biography:
Born in The Bronx, Remy Ma is a rapper, songwriter, and actress. She was discovered by Big Pun and became a member of Fat Joe’s group, Terror Squad. In 2006, Ma released her debut studio album, “There’s Something About Remy: Based on a True Story.” Some of Ma’s singles include “Ante Up (Remix),” “Lean Back,” “Conceited,” and “All the Way Up.” TV audiences know her starring role in VH1’s reality series, “Love & Hip Hop: New York,” which co-stars with husband Papoose. She and Papoose starred in the spinoff, “Remy & Papoose: Meet the Mackies.” Ma is also hosting Revolt’s “State of the Culture” with fellow co-host, Joe Budden.
