SIDEWALKS host Lori Rosales interviews actress Penélope Cruz about her favorite films of her career and working on “Everybody Knows, the psychological thriller feature film written and directed by Asghar Farhadi.

Born in Alcobendas, Madrid, Spain, Penélope Cruz is an actress and model, who was by an agent at the age of 15 with an acting debut at age 16. Some of her long list of films include “Jamón Jamón,” “Open Your Eyes,” “The Hi-Lo Country,” “The Girl of Your Dreams,” “Woman on Top,” “Vanilla Sky,” “All the Pretty Horses,” “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin and Blow,” “Waking Up in Reno,” “Gothika,” “Noel,” “Sahara,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” “”Volver,” “Nine,” “To Rome with Love,” “The Counselor,” and “Murder on the Orient Express.” Cruz won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2008 for playing painter María Elena in “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.” On American TV, she played Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace in FX’s “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.” As a model, Cruz has worked for Mango, Ralph Lauren and L’Oréal.
