In 1998, SIDEWALKS’ Cindy Rhodes had the honor in interviewing the actress best known for her Emmy Award® winning role on the NBC comedy series, “Gimme A Break!” and the Tony Award winning performance in the Fats Waller’s Broadway musical, “Ain’t Misbehavin’.” In the interview, she talked about how she fell into show business and how she handled her diabetes. Ms. Carter passed away on January 23, 2003.
