Mini-Biographies:
Born in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico, Melissa Barrera is an actress and singer. She started her career in music and appeared on the Mexican talent show, “La Academia.” She was part of the singing duo Melissa y Sebastian. In acting, Barrera went on to appear in telenovels, “La mujer de Judas” and “La otra cara del alma,” and then had starring roles in “Siempre tuya Acapulco” and “Tantor amor.” She also had recurring roles in one season each of “Perseguidos” and “Club de Cuervos.”
Born to a Dominican mother and Mexican father, the lovely Mishel Prada was raised in Hialeah, Florida. Before getting the starring role in “Vida,” she played Gabbi in AMC’s short form series, “Fear the Walking Dead: Passage,” an online spinoff of the “Fear the Walking Dead.” Some of Prada’s roles are Charlotte in “Bachelor Lions,” Nurse Rivera in “Tell Me How I Die,” Nova in “Benjamin Troubles,” Angela in “There Is a New World Somewhere,” and Ana in “Eat Spirit Eat.”
