On “MADtv,” he was known as Stuart and for many impressions. In Hollywood, he is also known for being a top TV director. Now, Michael McDonald is a showrunner, executive producer, and director of the hit TV Land comedy, “Nobodies.”

SIDEWALKS host Lori Rosales talks to actor / director / producer Michael McDonald about his career, working on “MADtv,” fan reactions, and showrunning the TV Land comedy, “Nobodies.” The series — starring Hugh Davidson, Larry Dorf and Rachel Ramras and executive produced by Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone — is about three actor/comedians still waiting for their big break and trying to get one of their famous friends to star in a script they developed.

Mini-Biography:
Born in Fullerton, California, Michael McDonald has done numerous positions in show business. He is an actor, writer, director, and stand-up comedian, who is best known as for being one of the main players in FOX’s “MADtv” late night comedy series. A member of the famed The Groundlings, some of the series McDonald has appeared in are “Scrubs,” “Rita Rocks,” “Cougar Town,” “Web Therapy,” “Fat Actress,” and “Seinfeld.” As a director, McDonald helmed several episodes of “Scrubs,” “MADtv,” “Benched,” “Cougar Town,” “Mike & Molly,” “Mixology,” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” as well as single episodes of “7th Heaven,” “2 Broke Girls,” “The Michael J. Fox Show,” “Superstore,” “Powerless,” and “The Good Place.”
