SIDEWALKS correspondent Mika Abogado interviews the hilarious younger Wayans brother about what he enjoys doing with his multi-talented career, as well as working and collaborating on his “Paranormal Activity”-spoofed film, “A Haunted House,” co-starring Cedric the Entertainer.
Mini-Biography:
Born in New York City, New York, actor, writer, producer Marlon Wayans is part of the showbiz super family, The Wayans. Getting his start as a pedestrian in his older brother Keenen Ivory Wayans’s 1988 film, “I’m Gonna Git You Sucka,” Marlon became known for his appearances in “In Living Color.” He also went on create, executive produce, and star in “The Wayans Bros,” co-starring brother Shawn, on the WB. He is known for being in comedic films, such as “Scary Movie,” “Scary Movie 2,” “White Chicks,” “Little Man,” “Norbit,” “The Ladykillers,” and “Dance Flick.” He went for a dramatic performance as Tyrone, a drug addict in “Requiem for a Dream.” Additionally, he co-starred in “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.” Together with brothers, Keenen and Shawn, and producer Rick Alvarez, he helped formed the production company, Wayans Brothers Entertainment. He also publish books under the “101 Ways” title, including “101 Ways to Know You’re a Golddigger,” “101 Ways You Know It’s Time to Get Out Of Your Mama’s House,” and “101 Ways to Know You’re Having a Ghetto Christmas,” as well as the children’s series “Boo Crew.”
