SIDEWALKS host Lori Rosales talks to Marcia Gay Harden about her “Fifty Shades of Grey” role, the fans continuing love for cancelled “Code Black,” her favorite project she has done, and role as Mathilde Geffard on National Geographic’s historical fiction drama “Barkskins.”

Born in La Jolla, California, Marcia Gay Harden is an award-winning actress, who won an Academy Award® for “Pollock” and a Tony Award® for “God of Carnage.” Some of her films are “Miller’s Crossing,” “Used People,” “The First Wives Club,” “Flubber,” “Mystic River,” “Pollock,” “American Gun,” “The Mist,” “Elsa & Fred,” “Grandma,” “Point Blank,” “Into the Wild,” and the trilogy of “Fifty Shades of Grey.” Harden has also done many TV shows, including regular roles in “The Education of Max Bickford,” “Trophy Wife,” and “Code Black,” as well as recurring parts in “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” ” Royal Pains,” “The Newsroom,” “How to Get Away with Murder,” and “The Morning Show.” Some of her theatre credits are “The Man Who Shot Lincoln,” “The Years,” “Angels in America: Perestroika,” “Angels in America: Millennium Approaches,” “The Seagull,” “The Exonerated,” “God of Carnage,” and “Sweet Bird of Youth.”
