Starting her career in television commercials and modeling, Akerman is known for her role of Silk Spectre in “Watchmen.” Other film roles include “Couples Retreat,” “The Proposal,” “Bye Bye Sally,” “27 Dresses,” “Heavy Petting,” “The Heartbreak Kid,” “The Brothers Solomon,” “Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle,” “The Utopian Society,” “The Circle,” “The Skulls,” “Wanderlust” and “Rock of Ages.” A regular on “Childrens Hospital” and “Trophy Wife” and a recurring role on “Suburgatory,” Akerman has guest-starred on many TV series, such as “Entourage,” “Earth: Final Conflict,” “The Others,” “Relic Hunter,” “Shotgun Love Dolls,” “Doc,” “Witchblade,” “Love Monkey,” and “The Comeback.”
