SIDEWALKS host Lori Rosales welcomes actress Lynn Whitfield, who talks about the 1996 movie “A Thin Line Between Love and Hate,” what type of role she would love to do, and her experience during the production of OWN’s “Greenleaf.”
Mini-Biography:
Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Lynn Whitfield started her TV career in three episodes of “Hill Street Blues” and a film career with “Doctor Detroit.” For HBO’s miniseries “The Josephine Baker Story,” she won an Emmy® for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie. Some of her notable films are “A Thin Line Between Love and Hate,” “Gone Fishin’,” “Eve’s Bayou,” “Stepmom,” “Head of State,” “Madea’s Family Reunion,” and “The Women of Brewster Place.” On TV, Whitfield was a regular on ABC’s “HeartBeat,” NBC’s “The Cosby Mysteries,” and OWN’s “Greenleaf,” along with recurring roles on “Equal Justice,” “Boston Public,” “Without A Trace,” “How to Get Away with Murder,” “Chasing Life,” and “Mistresses.”
