Interview: Lady A (2015)

In 2015, the country band, now known as Lady A, came to SIDEWALKS to discuss their success, fans, and how they are joining St. Jude and Chili’s in the fight against childhood cancer.

SIDEWALKS host Cindy Rhodes interviewed members of Lady A about the success of the group, traveling together, and fans. Additionally, they talked about teaming with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Chili’s in the fight against childhood cancer.

Mini-Biography:
Formed in 2006, Lady A, which the group is now known as, is composed of Hillary Scott (lead vocals), Charles Kelley (lead vocals, guitar), and Dave Haywood (background vocals, guitar, piano, mandolin). The trio made its debut in 2007 as guest vocalists on Jim Brickman’s single “Never Alone.” Signed to Capitol Records Nashville, Lady Antebellum released several albums, “Lady Antebellum,” “Need You Now,” “Own the Night,” “Golden,” and “747”, as well as the Christmas album, “On This Winter’s Night.” Some of their top singles include: “I Run to You,” “Need You Now,” “Just a Kiss,” “American Honey,” “Our Kind of Love,” “Downtown,” and “Bartender.”
