SIDEWALKS host Cindy Rhodes talks to Kidz Bop Kids’ Matt Martinez and Jayna Brown about being a part of the popular children musical group and their latest album, “Kidz Bop 26.”
Mini-Biography:
Founded by Razor & Tie co-founders Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam in 2001, Kidz Bop Kids is a group of young performers recording kid-friendly versions of today’s biggest pop music hits. Under the brand name Kidz Bop, the group has created the #1 music brand for kids and sold more than 14,000,000 albums. In 2013, KIDZ BOP sold over 1-million albums, outselling Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Kanye West, and Lady Gaga.
The current members of Kidz Bop Kids are Matt Martinez, Grant Knoche, Bredia Santoro, Ashlynn Chong and Jayna Brown. Past members have included Disney Channel personalities Zendaya Coleman, Ross Lynch, Riker Lynch, Keke Palmer, Jake Short, and Olivia Holt.
Besides going on tour, Kidz Bop Kids stars in the national “KIDZ BOP TV” commercials and music videos, as well as host “KIDZ BOP Radio” on SiriusXM Channel 77.
