Born on December 5, 1982 in Decatur, Georgia, Keri Hilson is a singer and actress, who started her career as a songwriter and background vocalist for several R&B and hip hop artists. At age14, she secured a record deal with the girl group D’Signe. She wrote songs with The Clutch (a collective of songwriters and record producers based in Atlanta) for other artists, including Britney Spears, The Pussycat Dolls, and Mary J. Blige In 2006, Hilson signed with Mosley Music with a breakthrough song on Timbaland’s single “The Way I Are.” Hilson’s debut studio album, “In a Perfect World…,”, was released in 2009 with hit singles “Knock You Down” (featuring Kanye West and Ne-Yo), “Turnin Me On” (featuring Lil Wayne), and “I Like.” Her second studio album, “No Boys Allowed,” had the hit single “Pretty Girl Rock” (featuring Kanye West). In features, she appeared in “Think Like a Man,” “Riddick,” and “Almost Christmas,” as well as TV films, including “Love by the 10th Date,” “Lust: A Seven Deadly Sins Story,” “The Hotline,” and “Hip Hop Family Christmas.”
Born as Shad Gregory Moss in Columbus, Ohio, stage name Bow Wow (formerly Lil’ Bow Wow) is a rapper and actor. He was discovered by rapper Snoop Dogg and brought to record producer Jermaine Dupri, who signed him to his label, So So Def Recordings. At age 13, he released his first album, “Beware of Dog,” in 2000, which featured songs “Bounce with Me” (with R&B girl group Xscape), “Bow Wow (That’s My Name)” (with Snoop Dogg), “Puppy Love,” and “Ghetto Girls,” The next year came the album, “Doggy Bag,” with songs, “Take Ya Home” and “Thank You” (with Jagged Edge). He dropped “Lil” from his third album, “Unleashed.” His next album, “Wanted,” had the hit singles, “Let Me Hold You” (featuring Omarion) and “Like You” (featuring Ciara). In movies, Bow Wow was seen in “All About the Benjamins,” “Like Mike,” “Johnson Family Vacation,” “Roll Bounce,” “Lottery Ticket,” “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift,” “Madea’s Big Happy Family,” “Scary Movie 5,” “Allegiance” and “F9.” On TV, he appeared in five episodes of “Entourage” and was a series regular on the short-lived “CSI: Cyber” as Brody Nelson. Bow Wow was also main cast member of “Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta” and as a host on “106 & Park.”
