SIDEWALKS host Lori Rosales talks to actress Katee Sackhoff about her time on “Battlestar Galactica,” her first professional roles, a part she would love to do, and being a star and producer on Netflix’s “Another Life.”
Mini-Biography:
Born in Portland and grew up in St. Helens, Oregon, Katee Sackhoff‘s career started with the Lifetime movie, “Fifteen and Pregnant,” starring Kirsten Dunst. After appearing in TV series “The Fearing Mind” and “The Education of Max Bickford,” she found her breakout role as Lieutenant Kara “Starbuck” Thrace on the rebooted “Battlestar Galactica.” She also went on to star in the A&E / Netflix series, “Longmire,” as Deputy Sheriff Victoria “Vic” Moretti. Other TV highlights include “The Flash,” “Nip/Tuck,” the rebooted “Bionic Woman,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” and “24,” as well as the voice of Bo-Katan Kryze in “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and “Star Wars Rebels.” In films, Sackhoff had lead roles in “Halloween: Resurrection,” “White Noise: The Light,” “Batman: Year One,” “The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia,” “Sexy Evil Genius,” “Riddick,” “Oculus,” and “Don’t Knock Twice.” On “Another Life,” she plays Niko Breckinridge.
