Mini-Biography:
Born and raised in Vandalia, Illinois, June Squibb is an Oscar®-nominated actress, who is known for her stage work on Broadway. Some of her stage highlights include playing stripper Electra in “Gypsy,” “The Happy Time,” and “Sacrilege.” Surprisingly, Squibb started her successful film career in her 60s. Some of her feature film credits include “About Schmidt,” “Scent of a Woman,” “Meet Joe Black,” ”The Age of Innocence,” “Welcome to Mooseport,” “In and Out,” “Atlas Shrugged: Part I,” and “Far From Heaven.” On TV, Squibb had recurring roles on “Ghost Whisperer,” “Judging Amy,” and the daytime drama “The Young and the Restless.” Guest appearances on recent TV shows are “Two and a Half Men,” “Castle,” “Mike & Molly,” “Getting On,” and “The Millers.” She appears in the latest season of HBO’s “Girls.”
