In this holiday interview, host Lori Rosales welcomes back current “Blue’s Clues and You!” host Josh Dela Cruz and the previous host of “Blue’s Clues,” Donovan Patton (Joe), who makes his first appearance on the show. They talk about working together and the holiday episode, “Blue’s Night Before Christmas,” which premiered December 4, 2020 on Nickelodeon.
Mini-Biographies:
Raised in New Jersey, Joshua Dela Cruz is Josh, the latest host of Nickelodeon’s “Blue’s Clues & You!” Before getting the hosting position, he appeared in Disney’s Broadway production of “Aladdin” as the understudy for Aladdin and as a member of the ensemble. His other theatre credits include David Byrne’s “Here Lies Love” and “Merrily We Roll Along.” On TV, Dela Cruz appeared on CBS’ “Bull” and ABC’s “Time After Time.”
Born on a U.S. Military base in Guam, Donovan Patton is best known for playing Joe, the second host of “Blue’s Clues” (starting in 2002) and on the spinoff series, “Blue’s Room.” Over the years, he has appeared on independent movies (“Beyond Belief,” “Awake”) and guest starred on popular TV shows, including “Blue Bloods,” “Nurse Jackie,” and “Damages.” Patton used his voice in playing giant robot Bot in “Team Umizoomi” and Jim Reese in “Clarence,” as well as in video games, like “Lego Jurassic World,” “Lego Dimensions,” “Star Wars: The Old Republic – Knights of the Fallen Empire,” and “Halo 5: Guardians.”
