SIDEWALKS host Veronica Castro talks to Jordana Brewster about the “Fast & Furious” film franchise, how she handled the COVID-19 pandemic, and her involvement with Walgreens and Red Nose Day, an annual campaign to help end child poverty.
Mini-Biography:
Born in Panama City, Panama, Jordana Brewster is actress, best known for playing Mia Toretto in “The Fast and the Furious” (2001) and in its successful follow-up sequels. She started her acting career in daytime dramas: a single episode of “All My Children” and a recurring role as Nikki Munson in “As the World Turns” (1995–2001). In feature films, she was in “The Faculty,” “The Invisible Circus,” “D.E.B.S,” “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning,” “American Heist,” “Home Sweet Hell,” “Random Acts of Violence,” and “Hooking Up.” On TV, Brewster starred in the TNT revival of “Dallas” (2012 to 2014) as Elena Ramos, had a five-episode arc as Denise Brown in the first season of FX’s “American Crime Story: The People v. O. J. Simpson,” and played Dr. Maureen Cahill on Fox’s TV series version of “Lethal Weapon.”
