SIDEWALKS host Richard R. Lee interviews actors John Cho (Sulu) and Simon Pegg (Scotty) about working on the 2nd feature of the rebooted series, “Star Trek Into Darkness,” and being a part of the long-running, successful science fiction franchise.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, actor / musician John Cho has been in a series of film franchises, including the “American Pie” comedies, “Harold & Kumar” adventures, and the “Star Trek” reboot feature. He also starred in the TV series, “Off Centre,” “FlashForward” and “Go On.” Other film roles include “Better Luck Tomorrow,” “Yellow,” remake “Total Recall,” “Big Fat Liar,” “American Dreamz,” “Identity Thief,” and “Bickford Shmeckler’s Cool Ideas.” In the music scene, Cho is the lead singer of Viva La Union.
Born in Brockworth, Gloucestershire, England, Simon Pegg is an actor, comedian, producer, writer, and director. He is often associated with fellow writers Edgar Wright and Nick Frost in several projects, including “Shaun of the Dead,” “Hot Fuzz,” comedy TV series “Spaced,” and “The World’s End.” Additionally, Pegg co-wrote “Paul” and “Run Fatboy Run.” He has been in the film franchises for “Star Trek” (playing Scotty) and “Mission: Impossible” (as Benji Dunn).
