Joey “Hot Rod” De La Rosa is a talented forward for the Harlem Globetrotters. Standing at 7’1”, he is known for his impressive sky-high hook shots. Joey earned his ‘Hot Rod’ nickname for his lightning-fast moves and flashy ball-handling while honing his skills on Harlem’s street courts. Before becoming a Globetrotter, Joey had a standout college career, known for his scoring and entertaining style. He grew up in the Bronx and played college basketball at St. John’s University. With the Globetrotters, Joey brings his trademark fun and energy, wowing crowds worldwide with incredible tricks and athleticism. Whether he’s sinking a three-pointer from half-court or making a no-look pass, Joey embodies the fun, positive spirit that makes the Harlem Globetrotters such a beloved institution around the globe. Off the court, he’s a mentor to young athletes, inspiring them with his passion for the game. He’s a true ambassador for the game and a fan favorite wherever he goes.
