Mini-Biography:
The eldest son of famed comic book artist Neal Adams, Joel Adams started his career in comics, like designing the covers for Alpha Production’s “Blood Thirst” line and Penthouse Comix’s “Young Captain Adventure.” Following comics, Adams moved to animation, where he worked for Marvel Entertainment and for their character designs of “The Hulk” animated series. He is best known for his character designs on the first three years of “King of the Hill.” Later, Adams picked up all of the licensing style guide art for his shows. His artwork has appeared on licensed products from: “The Hulk,” “Nascar Racers,” “King of the Hill,” “Captain Scarlet,” “The Mask” (animation), “Mighty Morphing Power Rangers,” “Power Rangers: Light Speed Rescue,” “Power Rangers: Wild Force,” and “Harry Potter: the Goblet of Fire and Prisoner of Azkaban.” Adams has his own brand/license LILZ, where it can literally be seen on online community message boards and websites as “signature tags.”
