In a special interview recorded for “Sidewalks Entertainment,” actress Jennifer Grey shared her memories in making and co-starring with Patrick Swayze, on the cult classic “Dirty Dancing,” which celebrated its 25th anniversary of the film’s release in August 2012. She also talks about a special 8-city tour presented by Skinny Cow.
Born in New York City, Grey made her screen debut in the 1984 “brat pack” film “Reckless.” She followed that film with minor roles in “The Cotton Club” and “Red Dawn.” Grey became known as Matthew Broderick’s sister in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” and in 1987, she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award® for “Dirty Dancing.”
In 2010, Grey won the eleventh season of the “Dancing with the Stars.”
