With Jeff Gordon retired from racing, we found our only interview with the driver during our early run of our show.

Recorded in the early 2000’s, SIDEWALKS’ Cindy Rhodes interviewed Jeff Gordon, one of NASCAR’s elite racers. In the brief chat, Gordon shared valuable safety advice for young drivers, as well as informed our viewers about The DuPont Mobile Auto Safety Tour, which was traveling nationwide and providing people with a fun and educational opportunity to experience common and not-so-common driving scenarios.

Mini-Biography:
Born in Vallejo, California, Jeff Gordon was a popular driver for fans and NASCAR. Gordon started his career in the Busch Series with Hugh Connerty Racing, followed by Bill Davis Racing and Hendrick Motorsports. He won several times the Sprint Cup (1995, 1997, 1998, 2001), Daytona 500 (1997, 1999, 2005), Brickyard 400 (1994, 1998, 2001, 2004, 2014), Coca-Cola 600 (1994, 1997, 1998), and other races. Gordon has 93 career wins, the most in NASCAR (1972–present). In 1998, NASCAR named Gordon as a member of 50 Greatest Drivers list.
