Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Jay Baruchel, who previous appeared on SIDEWALKS ENTERTAINMENT when he was promoting “She’s Out of My League,” began acting at age 12 when he landed a one-time guest appearance, which led to a recurring role on the Nickelodeon TV series, “Are You Afraid of the Dark?,” That role was followed by the Canadian series “My Hometown” and the Judd Apatow series, “Undeclared.” He was in the Academy Award®-winning movie “Million Dollar Baby,” as well as “Tropic Thunder,” “Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist,” “Knocked Up,” “Just Buried,” “Real Time,” “The Trotsky,” “Almost Famous,” “How to Train Your Dragon,” “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” and “This Is the End.”
Born in Los Angeles, California, America Ferrera is an actress, who is best known for playing Betty Suarez on ABC’s “Ugly Betty.” With the role, she won the Golden Globe Award® for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy, the Screen Actors Guild® Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series, and the Primetime Emmy Award® for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. She also appeared in four episodes of “The Good Wife.” In films, Ferrera was in “Real Women Have Curves,” “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,” sequel “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2,” “The Dry Land,” “End of Watch ,” and “Our Family Wedding.” In addition to “How to Train Your Dragon” films, she used her voice in Cartoon Network’s TV series based on the film “Dragons: Riders of Berk.”
Born in Aylmer, Quebec, Dean DeBlois is a director, producer, screenwriter, animator and editor, who has worked for Walt Disney Feature Animation and later DreamWorks Animation. He co-wrote and co-directed animated films “Lilo & Stitch” and “How to Train Your Dragon.” Additionally, DeBlois directed the Sigur Rós documentary/music film “Heima,” “Go Quiet,” and the concert film entitled “Jónsi: Live at The Wiltern.”
