SIDEWALKS host Lori Rosales talks to the stars of the feature film, “Mighty Oak.” Along with speaking about the film, the two discuss getting into the business, Parrish’s memories of working on “Pretty Little Liars,” and what’s Regen’s goal in further acting.
Mini-Biographies:
Considered a musical prodigy, Tommy Ragen makes his film debut as Oak Scoggins in “Mighty Oak.” At 9 years old, the performer was in the Broadway first national tour of “School of Rock.” Ragen, now 11 years old, has released three studio albums and the “Mighty Oak” features many of Ragen’s original songs.
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Janel Parrish is an actress and singer, who is best known for playing Mona Vanderwaal on Freeform’s “Pretty Little Liars” and spin-off “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists.” She is also known for her role as Margot Covey in the “To All the Boys” film series. Her other notable parts includes “Bratz,” “Hell Is Where the Home Is,” “Fired Up!,” “April Showers,” Tiger,” and “Triple Dog.” On Broadway, Parrish portrayed Young Cosette in “Les Misérables” (1996). In 2014, Parrish participated in the 19th season of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” (finishing in third place). In “Mighty Oak,” she plays Gina Jackson.
