Actor James Doohan was kind enough to give SIDEWALKS a brief interview after signing hundreds of autographs for fans at a San Francisco science fiction convention. He talked to our guest correspondent Lovelle Robinson.

Mini-Biography:
Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, James Doohan is best known to the world – and galaxy- — as Montgomery “Scotty” Scott on the original TV series and the first six feature films of “Star Trek.” He also played Scotty was in the feature film “Star Trek Generations” and a 1992 episode of “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” He voiced Scotty and other characters in the animated version of “Star Trek,” as well as video games. In Canadian TV, Doohan was in “Space Command,” “General Motors Theatre,” “On Camera,” and “Festival.” Some other roles, include Thomas as “Peyton Place,” Damon Warwick on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and Commander Canarvin in the Saturday morning series “Jason of Star Command.”
