Mini-Biography:
Born in Austin, Texas, Ethan Hawke is an actor, writer and director. In 1985, he made his film debut in “Explorers,” then a supporting role in “Dead Poets Society.” Hawke received a Screen Actors Guild® and Academy Award® nomination for Best Supporting Actor in “Training Day.” Other films include “Reality Bites,” White Fang,” “A Midnight Clear,” “Alive,” “Before Sunrise,” “Before Sunset,” “Gattaca,” ”Hamlet,” “Assault on Precinct 13,” and “Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead.” In 2002, Hawke directed his first film, the independent “Chelsea Walls.” Outside of acting, he wrote two novels, “The Hottest State” and “Ash Wednesday.”
