Mini-Biographies:
Raised in Stourbridge, West Midlands, Esther Smith is known for her work on British comidies, including “Uncle” and “Cuckoo.” She also originated the role of Delphi Diggory in the British two-part play, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.” On “Trying,” Smith plays Nikki Newman.
Born in Camberwell, London, Rafe Spall has appeared in films, such as “A Good Year,” “One Day,” “Anonymous,” “Prometheus,” “Life of Pi,” “The Big Short,” “The BFG,” “The Ritual,” “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,” and “Men in Black: International.” On TV, Spall played Pete Griffiths in “Pete Versus Life” and made appearances on TV series Showtime’s “Roadies,” “The Salisbury Poisonings,” “The Shadow Line,” “Agatha Christie’s Marple,” Desperate Romantics and “Black Mirror.” On “Trying” Spall plays Jason Ross.
