Born in Lemont, Illinois, Diablo Cody is a screenwriter and producer, whose debut script for “Juno” gave her an Academy Award® for Best Original Screenplay, the BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay, Writers Guild of America Award for Best Original Screenplay, and others. She became known for her memoir “Candy Girl: A Year in the Life of an Unlikely Stripper.” Other highlights: creating, writing and producing “United States of Tara” for Showtime and writing and producing films “Jennifer’s Body” and “Young Adult.” CVody made her directorial debut with “Paradise.”
