SIDEWALKS host Lori Rosales interviews Dermot Mulroney about his first recognized role, a mistake he made during his recurring roles in “Friends,” working with the cast of “New Girl,” playing the cello on films, and voicing Blanket in the animated “CATS.”
Mini-Biography:
Born in Alexandria, Virginia, Dermot Mulroney has appeared in films, such as “Young Guns,” “Staying Together,” “Where the Day Takes You,” “Point of No Return,” “Angels in the Outfield,” “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” “About Schmidt,” “The Wedding Date,” “August: Osage County,” and “Insidious: Chapter 3.” Additionally, he appeared in the HBO films “The Last Outlaw ” and “Long Gone.” On TV, he starred in NBC’s “Crisis,” CBS’ “Pure Genius,” and Showtime’s “Shameless,” along with recurring roles on “Friends,” “New Girl,” ” Mozart in the Jungle,” “Station 19,” “The Righteous Gemstones,” and the miniseries “Four Weddings and a Funeral.” As a musician, Mulroney was in the band Low and Sweet Orchestra and has played the cello in musical scores for films, such as “Mission: Impossible III,” “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol,” and “Star Trek Into Darkness.”
