SIDEWALKS host Cindy Rhodes talks to the former football/baseball player about his reality TV show, “Deion’s Family Playbook,” which is on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network in the United States. He also tells us about playing both in the gridiron and diamond, as well as the Prime Prep Academy charter school.
Mini-Biography:
Born in Fort Myers, Florida, Deion Sanders, who has the nickname “Prime Time,” is a former NFL football and MLB baseball player. In football, he played with Atlanta Falcons, the San Francisco 49ers, the Dallas Cowboys, the Washington Redskins and the Baltimore Ravens. While in baseball, Sanders was with New York Yankees, the Atlanta Braves, the Cincinnati Reds and the San Francisco Giants. He won the Super Bowl with the 49ers and the Cowboys and was with the Braves in the 1992 World Series. In 2011, he was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Currently, he is an analyst with the NFL Network. Additionally, Sanders founded the Prime Prep Academy charter school.
