SIDEWALKS host Lori Rosales talks to Connor Jessup and Darby Stanchfield, the lead stars of Netflix’s “Locke & Key,” about Connor getting into acting at a young age, Darby’s favorite part during her years on “Scandal,” and working on the set of “Locke & Key” with special effects.

Born and raised in Kodiak, Alaska, Darby Stanchfield played Abby Whelan in ABC’s “Scandal” (2012–2018). She is also remembered for roles as April Green in CBS’ “Jericho” and Helen Bishop in AMC’s “Mad Men.” Some other TV appearances were in “General Hospital” (replacing Annie Wersching for two weeks), “NCIS,” and “Castle.” In films, Stanchfield was seen in “Waitress,” “The Picture of Dorian Gray,” “Carnage Park,” “The Rendezvous,” “The Clinic,” “Justine,” and “Stargirl.” On “Locke & Key,” she plays Nina Locke, the matriarch of the Locke family.
Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Connor Jessup is an actor, writer and director. He is remembered for playing Ben Mason on TNT’s “Falling Skies” and Taylor Blaine and Coy Henson in ABC’s “American Crime.” Early in his career he was Simon Atherton on the Australian / Canadian children television series “The Saddle Club” (Series 3). In feature films, he was in “Blackbird,” “Closet Monster,” “Strange But True,” and “White Lie.” Along with directing short films, Jessup was the director of the documentary “A.W. A Portrait of Apichatpong Weerasethakul.” On “Locke & Key,” he portrays Tyler Locke, the eldest son of the Locke family.
