SIDEWALKS host Lori Rosales talks to actor Casper Van Dien about his famous role as Johnny Rico in the 1997’s “Starship Troopers” and his new starring role in the streaming TV series, “Salvage Marines,” now showing on Popcornflix. Mini-Biography:
Born and raised in Milton, Florida, Casper Van Dien is best known for his starring role as Johnny Rico of “Starship Troopers.” He reprised the role for “Starship Troopers 3: Marauder,” the animated “Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars,” and video game “Starship Troopers.” Early in his career, he had recurring roles as Ty Moody on “One Life to Live,” “Freshman Dorm,” and “Beverly Hills, 90210.” While he appeared in several TV-movies in his career, some of Van Dien’s TV shows include “Titans,” “Watch Over Me,” and “All American.” He also appeared in films, such as “Beastmaster III: The Eye of Braxus,” “Tarzan and the Lost City,” “Sleepy Hollow,” “Star Raiders: The Adventures of Saber Raine,” “Assumed Killer,” “Avengers Grimm,” “Alita: Battle Angel,” “The Warrant” and “The 2nd.” Van Dien plays Samuel Hyst on “Salvage Marines.”
