From Jamaica, Queens, New York, Carl Weber is an author and publisher, as well as the owner of Urban Books. Along with his “The Family Business” novel series, he wrote “Lookin’ for Luv,” “So You Call Yourself a Man,” “Married Men,”” Baby Momma,” “Player Haters,” “The Preacher’s Son,” “She Ain’t the One,” “Something on the Side,” “Up to No Good,” “Big Girls Do Cry,” “Town between Two Lovers,” “Choir Director,” “The Man in 3B,” “Man on the Run,” “Influence,” “The Black Hamptons” and others. On both “The Family Business” and “The Black Hamptons,” Weber is the executive producer and writer on the BET+ projects.
Born and raised in Arlington, Texas, Trey Haley is a director and producer, as well as the President and Partner at Tri Destined Studios. Some of the projects he directed include “Influence,” “Always a Bridesmaid,” “Throwback Holiday,” “Woman on the Edge,” “No More Mr Nice Guy,” “The Choir Director,” “A Mother’s Sacrifice,” “We Are Family,” “Perfect Combination,” “The Preacher’s Son,” and “The Man in 3B.” As a producer, he was involved in “Couples’ Night,” “Black Coffee,” “Where Is He Already?!,” “He’s Mine Not Yours,” “Lord, All Men Can’t Be Dogs,” and “Why Am I Doing This?” On both “The Family Business” and “The Black Hamptons,” Haley is the co-executive producer and director.
