In a brief interview recorded on the streets of New York, the actress / singer talks to SIDEWALKS host Cindy Rhodes about her participation with “Give With Target” campaign to help schools.

Born in Washington, D.C., Bridgit Mendler started her career with a guest role in daytime drama “General Hospital.” From there, she has become a Disney staple with guest roles in shows like “Jonas” and “Wizards of Waverly Place,” the lead role in “Lemonade Mouth,” and the voice of the title character in the animated film, “The Secret World of Arrietty.” In 2010, Mendler started playing Teddy Duncan in the TV series, “Good Luck Charlie.”

Outside of the Disney world, she has appeared in films “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel,” “Labor Pains,” and ”The Clique,” as well as guest role in TV’s “House.”

As a singer, her Hollywood Records debut album will be released in late 2012.
