SIDEWALKS host Veronica Castro talks to Bishop T.D. Jakes about getting in filmmaking and producing “Miracles from Heaven,” starring Jennifer Garner and Queen Latifah.
Mini-Biography:
Born in South Charleston, West Virginia, T. D. Jakes is a pastor, author and filmmaker, who is the bishop of The Potter’s House. His church services are aired on several major networks, as well as online. Along with writing the New York Times best seller, “Instinct: The Power to Unleash Your Inborn Drive,” Jakes has written inspirational novels, which some has been turned into films (“Woman Thou Art Loosed” and “Not Easily Broken”. He has his own record label and movie production company. In films, Jakes produced “Heaven Is for Real,” “Winnie Mandela,” and “Miracles from Heaven.”
