SIDEWALKS host Sonia Lowe talks to Billy Bob Thornton about his favorite roles, if he will be directing again soon, and playing Billy McBride in season 2 of Amazon Prime’s “Goliath.”

Mini-Biography:
Born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Billy Bob Thornton is a popular actor, as well as a filmmaker, singer and musician. His first break was when he co-wrote and starred in “One False Move.” He found major success with 1996’s “Sling Blade,” a project he directed and wrote and won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor. Some of his film roles include “U Turn,” “Primary Colors,” “Armageddon,” ” A Simple Plan,” “Monster’s Bal,” “The Man Who Wasn’t There,” “Friday Night Lights,” “Bandits,” ” Intolerable Cruelty,” “Bad Santa” and sequel, “Eagle Eye,” and “Faster.” On TV, Thornton starred as Lorne Malvo in the first season of “Fargo,” which he won a Best Actor in a Miniseries or TV Film at the 72nd Golden Globe Awards. As a director, he also helmed some films, such as “Daddy and Them,” “All the Pretty Horses,” and “Jayne Mansfield’s Car.” In music, Thornton released four solo albums and is the vocalist of the blues rock band, The Boxmasters.
