Mini-Biography:

Born and raised in San Francisco, BD Wong is known for his numerous roles in TV and films, including playing Howard Weinstein in “Father of the Bride, Dr. George Huang on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” Father Ray Mukada on “Oz,” Dr. John Lee on “Awake,” Hugo Strange in “Gotham,” Ngapoi Ngawang Jigme in “Seven Years in Tibet,” and Dr. Henry Wu in the “Jurassic Park” film franchise. Wong won a Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, Clarence Derwent Award, and Theatre World Award for his role as Song Liling in “M. Butterfly.” He has done voice works for projects, such as Captain Li Shang in the animated film “Mulan,” direct-to-video sequel “Mulan II,” and the “Kingdom Hearts II” video games, Henry Wu in the “Jurassic World” video games, and Hon Wing in Max’s and Cartoon Network’s “Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai.” Wong is the host of the HLN / CNN medical documentary TV series. “Something’s Killing Me with BD Wong.” He plays Wally in “Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens.”
