SIDEWALKS host Veronica Castro talks to Antonio Sabato Jr and David A.R. White about their film, “God’s Not Dead: We the People,” as well as being in faith films and both having their own production companies.
In “God’s Not Dead: We the People,” Rev. Dave (white) is called to defend a group of Christian homeschooling families. He finds himself taken aback by the interference of the government, and believing that their right to educate their own children is a freedom worth fighting for. Reverend Dave is called to Washington DC to testify in a landmark congressional hearing that will determine the future of religious freedom in our country for years to come.

Born in Rome, Antonio Sabàto Jr. is familiar actor, who is best known for playing Jagger Cates on the daytime drama “General Hospital” and evening spinoff “General Hospital: Night Shift.” He first found fame in the 1990s as an underwear model for Calvin Klein and a role in Janet Jackson’s “Love Will Never Do (Without You)” music video. Other series he has been in include the full season of “Earth 2,” seven episodes of “Melrose Place,” four episodes of “Tribe,” and seven episodes of the sitcom “The Help,” as well as co-starring as Dante Damiano on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Recently, Sabàto has appeared in series and movies, such as “The Encounter,” “Inspired to Kill,” “Antonio: Down Under,” “Dark Paradise,” “One Nation Under God,” and the upcoming “Trail Blazers,” the latter he was also a director, writer and producer. In 2021, Sabàto formed a production company called Trail Blazers Pictures. In “God’s Not Dead: We the People,” he plays Mike McKinnon.
Born in Dodge City, Kansas, David A. R. White is an actor, screenwriter, producer and co-founder of Pure Flix Entertainment, which was recently re-branded as Pinnacle Peak Pictures. He started his career in mainstream projects, including a recurring role on CBS’s “Evening Shade” and in films “The Visitation,” “Mercy Streets,” and “Six: The Mark Unleashed.” After forming Pure Flix, White went toward Christian-related and family-themed projects, where he produced and starred in many films, including “In the Blink of an Eye,” “Hidden Secrets,” and “The Moment After.” Along with the “Revelation Road” film series playing Josh McManus, he has starred as Reverend Dave Hill in the “God’s Not Dead” movie franchise.
