Best known for appearing on Joss Whedon’s various TV series, Amy and Alexis talk to SIDEWALKS’ Veronica Castro about their first professional roles and working on the comedy “Much Ado About Nothing,” a film written, produced, and directed by Whedon (“The Avengers,” “Serenity”) and is based on the William Shakespeare’s play of the same name.

Born and raised in Dallas, Amy Acker, who appeared on a SidewalksTV.com interview in 2010, is best known for playing Winifred Burkle and Illyria on “Angel.” Other recurring roles include Kelly Peyton on “Alias,” Rachel Conroy on “Happy Town,” Dr. Claire Saunders / Whiskey on “Dollhouse,” and Samantha “Root” Groves on “Person of Interest.” Some of her film roles include “The Cabin in the Woods,”” Sironia,” “21 and Wake-Up,” and “Catch Me If You Can.”
Born in Salisbury, Maryland, Alexis Denisof found fame playing Wesley Wyndam-Pryce in the TV series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer “and its spin-off “Angel.” He also had a recurring role as newsman Sandy Rivers on “How I Met Your Mother,” a long-running series co-starring real-life wife Alyson Hannigan. Denisof has used his voice in animated projects, such as “Justice League Unlimited,” “The Legend of Tarzan,” “Justice League: Doom,” “All-Star Superman,” and ”Batman Beyond.”
