In the extended interview, SIDEWALKS correspondent Lori Rosales interviews the players of “Power,” Omari Hardwick and Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson. Along with career stars, they talk about Hardwick role as James “Ghost” St. Patrick and 50 Cent being executive producer of the hit Starz drama.

Born in South Jamaica, Queens, New York as Curtis James Jackson III, he is known to the world as 50 Cent, who rose to fame with his 2003 album, “Get Rich or Die Tryin’.” A member of G-Unit, he’s a Grammy Award® winner and has been awarded numerous accolades including: 13 Billboard Music Awards, 6 World Music Awards, 3 American Music Awards and 4 BET Awards. 50 Cent was ranked as the #1 rap artist by Billboard Magazine. 50 Cent is also a successful actor, producer and businessman. In movies, he made appearances in “Spy,” “Southpaw,” “The Frozen Ground,” “Before I Self Destruct,” “Caught in the Crossfire,” and other films. While he has had other film companies, 50 Cent revived G Unit Film & Television Inc., a production company producing a wide variety of content across various platforms.
Born in Savannah, Georgia and grew up in Decatur, Omari Hardwick played college football at the University of Georgia and tried out for the San Diego Chargers until a knee injury cut his promising NFL career shot. After studying acting in New York, he moved to Los Angeles and got his big break in 2003, when he was cast in Spike Lee’s “Sucker Free City.” Some of his TV series roles include “Saved,” “Dark Blue,” and “Being Mary Jane.” In films, Hardwick appeared in “For Colored Girls,” “Sparkle,” “Middle of Nowhere,” “I Will Follow,“ “The A-Team,” “Kick-Ass,” “Miracle at St. Anna,” “The Guardian,” and “Gridiron Gan.”
