SIDEWALKS host Cindy Rhodes had the honor to interview actor Michelle Trachtenberg in 2010, where her career was rising following the end of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and working on two projects, “Mercy” and “Gossip Girl,” concurrently. The interview touched on Michelle designing a bag with Monica Botkier, and what she likes to do when she’s not working. As part of the promotional tour, Michelle told us why she joined Crest in their campaign.
Mini-Biography:
Born on October 11, 1985 in New York City, Michelle Trachtenberg was a fan favorite. While she began acting at the age of three, she became well-known for Dawn Summers on the TV series, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” during the show’s final three seasons. Trachtenberg appeared in a recurring role on the fourth season of “Six Feet Under” and on two TV series simultaneously: as Georgina Sparks on “Gossip Girl” and as Nurse Chloe Payne on “Mercy.” Some of earlier roles include “The Adventures of Pete & Pete” (1994) and as Lily Montgomery on “All My Children.” Following her big breakout in the film, “Harriet the Spy,” she was seen on the big screen with titles, such as “17 Again,” “Ice Princess,” “Inspector Gadget,” “Beautiful Ohio,” “Mysterious Skin,” “Can’t Be Heaven,” “Against the Current,” and “Eurotrip.” Trachtenberg’s most recent credited performance occurred in 2023, where she reprised her role as Georgina in the revival / reboot of “Gossip Girl” on Max. Sadly, Michelle Trachtenberg passed away on February 26, 2025 at the age of 39.
