Remembering David Lew
On May 25, 2023, stand-up comedian and family man David Lew passed away after years battling cancer.
From Northern California, David Lew was a popular stand-up comedian, who has been bringing laughter to audiences across the country.
He has appeared at La Jolla’s The Comedy Store, Laughs Unlimited, Parlor Live, Tommy’s T, Pepper Belly’s Comedy and Variety Theater and many other venues. David has shared the stage with Craig Robinson (“The Office,” “Hot Tub Time Machine,” “Knocked Up”), Tommy Davidson (“In Living Color,” “Black Dynamite,” “Ace Ventura 2″), Louis C.K. (FX’s “Louie”), Louie Anderson (“Life with Louie,” “Baskets”), Shawn Wayans (“Scary Movie”, “White Chicks”), Bruce Bruce, and Anjelah Johnson.
David has been showcased on “Throwdown with Bobby Flay” and briefly appeared on season 4 of “Last Comic Standing.”
David was a special correspondent for the show, who did celebrity interviews and a movie review. His first interview for “Sidewalks Entertainment” was a chat with director David Dobkin (“The Judge”). Since then, he interviewed WWE’s The Miz and was reunited with fellow comedian Louie Anderson, among other assignments.
