SIDEWALKS host Veronica Castro interviews “Mr. Peabody & Sherman” executive producer Tiffany Ward and director Rob Minkoff about making their animated feature.
Mini-Biographies:
Tiffany Ward is the daughter of the late Jay Ward, legendary producer of classics animated projects, including “Crusader Rabbit,” “Rocky and Bullwinkle,” “Sherman and Peabody,” “Fractured Fairy Tales,” “Dudley Do-Right,” “Hoppity Hooper,” “George of the Jungle,” “Tom Slick,” “SuperChicken” and “Cap’n Crunch.” Ms. Ward became President of Ward Productions Inc. since her father’s death in 1989. She has also been President of Bullwinkle Studios, the joint venture between Ward Productions Inc. and Classic Media of New York, for 10 years.
Born in Palo Alto, California, Rob Minkoff began his career working for the Walt Disney Studios in their animation department, where he was involved with many projects, including “The Black Cauldron” (cleanup artist), “The Great Mouse Detective” (supervisor animator), “The Brave Little Toaster” (character designer), “The Little Mermaid” (character animator), and “Beauty and The Beast” (pre-production script). Minkoff made his directorial debut with two “Roger Rabbit” animated shorts, “Tummy Trouble” and “Roller Coaster Rabbit.” In 1994, he made his feature film directorial debut with Disney’s “The Lion King.” After leaving Disney, Minkoff went on to direct “Stuart Little” and “Stuart Little 2.” Beyond animated films, he was the director for films “The Forbidden Kingdom,” “Flypaper,” and “The Haunted Mansion.”
